UN Security Council slams killing of Palestinian teenager


United Nations, July 3 (IANS): The UN Security Council condemned the abduction and killing of a Palestinian teenager in Jerusalem, underlining "the need to bring the perpetrators of this deplorable act to justice".

"The members of the Security Council expressed profound sorrow and condemned in the strongest terms the abduction and killing of a Palestinian teenager from East Jerusalem Wednesday," said a statement issued here by the 15-nation council.

"The members of the Security Council underlined the need to bring the perpetrators of this deplorable act to justice," the statement said.
