from Sanajy Borkar in Margao for Daijiworld News Network - Goa

Margao, July 28: Suresh Pilarnekar, deputy collector and SDO of Margao who conducted a sting operation to expose the ongoing gambling activities in the dens and in the open places of Margao city, has been transferred to Sanguem taluka as Forest Settlement officer, on Friday.

Pilarnekar had captured the clippings of the gambling activities on his movie camera and had submitted the CD copies of the same to concerned Police Officer to take action. But no action was taken against any gambler.

As police were not taking the action against the gamblers, again he sent Notices to concerned police officer to take the action and also served the ultimatum to the police that if they did not take the action he would be forced to "play his own cards" to curb the gambling activities running without any hindrance in the city and outskirt.

But it seems that those involved in the gambling activities played their 'card' to do away Pilarnekar, who was interrupting them to run their business.

"I was aware that one day I would be transferred. But they don't know that there is an end for each and every bad thing in the world. The result would come come some day or other," said Pilarnekar, while speaking to Daijiworld correspondent.
