Bags at BJP headquarters trigger panic, claimed later

New Delhi, July 9 (IANS): The discovery of three bags at the BJP headquarters here triggered panic Wednesday. A couple later came forward and claimed the bags.

"Three unclaimed bags were found at the BJP headquarters around 7.45 a.m. As soon as we got the information, a bomb disposal squad was sent," Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Jatin Narwal told IANS.

"The bags were checked but no explosives were found," he added.

Later, a couple from south Delhi who had come to the Bharatiya Janata Party head office to meet some leaders claimed the bags belonged to them.

"The couple said they left their bags at the headquarters and went to look for a leader they wanted to meet," Narawal added.
