Six killed over land dispute in Pakistan


Islamabad, July 9 (IANS): At least six people were killed and 13 others injured when two groups clashed during a tribal assembly in Pakistan, media reported.

A jirga, an assembly of tribal elderly people to take decision by consensus, was in progress to settle a land dispute in Khyber Agency's Gaidu area when participants opened fire, Dawn online reported. 

Six people were killed on the spot and 13 others sustained injuries.

The injured were taken to a hospital.
