Udupi, July 10: Milagres Cathedral Kallianpur celebrated the Titular Feast of Our Lady of Miracles on Wednesday July 9.

The solemn feast mass was conducted by Bishop of Udupi Diocese, Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, along with Rector of the Cathedral Fr Stany B Lobo. Fr Anil D’Souza, Dean of Kundapur Deanery, Fr Stany Tauro, Dean of Shirva Varado and Fr Valerian Mendonca, Chancellor of Diocese were also present during the mass.

Dr Leslie D’Souza, Vicar of Pangala Church, spoke during the Homily and said how a mother plays an important role in the family life, similarly it is more important with the Milar Mai, since we are children of Milar Mai.

"We always question ourselves as to what has God done to us and what He has not done, but I ask you to think twice as to what you have done towards God, like, how many hours have you spent with God, in prayers or mass and other devotional activities. We have to move towards God to get things; how Jesus' mother requested Jesus to fullfil her needs and He did it. From the birth of Jesus till His death, Mother Mary followed Him in all her ways," her said.

Towards the end of the mass, the Rector spoke words of gratitude on the occasion of the titular feast. Bishop, in his message said that the faith on Mother Mary that was prevalent during earlier days should continue to be in our families.

The Bishop requested the gathering to pray especially for rains. He wished all the parishioners a happy titular feast of Our Lady of Miracles.

Bishop honoured the main sponsor of the feast Juliet D’Silva, W/o.Gilbert D’Silva in favour of the family of late A J D’Silva.
