Two people washed away in Jammu


Jammu, July 11 (IANS): Two engineers working in the hilly Kishtwar district of Jammu region were Friday washed away in the Chenab River.

Pramod Pathak, an engineer, and his helper Hushiar Singh were in a drilling operation for the NHPC in Kishtwar district when they slipped into the Chenab River Friday.

"Both are feared dead and efforts are on to recover the bodies," a police officer told IANS here.

Both Pathak and Singh belonged to Uttar Pradesh.

    Very sad to learn about very precious loss of two engineers. Is there no method to avoid thisis providing a harness not possible or is it casual attitude ?my sympathy for the bereaved ones.
