Indian captives in Iraq unharmed: MEA


New Delhi, July 11 (IANS): Indian nationals held captive in Iraq are unharmed and all efforts are being made for their speedy release, external affairs ministry spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said Friday.

"We contacted Indian nationals in captivity through our interlocutors. They are unharmed but remain in captivity," Akbaruddin told media persons here.

On the efforts for their release, he said: "Every possible effort, well beyond diplomatic efforts, is being done".
