Delhi govt formation: Rajnath Singh takes on Arvind Kejriwal over Rs 20 cr-for-MLA deal

New Delhi, Jul 17 (PTI) : Rubbishing Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal's allegation against BJP of indulging in horse-trading for government formation in Delhi, former BJP chief and Home Minister Rajnath Singh today said his party doesn't indulge in such practices.

"BJP has never indulged in horse-trading. I can confidently say that BJP doesn't indulge in horse-trading," he told reporters here.
On Arvind Kejriwal's charge, Singh said that his party will never indulge in such a practice.
Asked if some Congress MLAs were supporting BJP to form government in Delhi, he said that he does not have any knowledge about it.

Kejriwal had yesterday charged BJP with trying to buy Congress MLAs after failing to lure AAP legislators.
"After failing to buy any AAP MLA, BJP is now trying to buy 6 Cong MLAs. Price - Rs 20 crore each, 2 ministers and 4 chairmen (sic)," the AAP convener had said in a tweet.

BJP had emerged the single largest party after last year's Assembly polls with 32 seats, including one of Akali Dal, in the 70-member Assembly.

Currently BJP, along with ally Akali Dal's lone MLA, has 29 legislators and will require the support of five more MLAs to prove majority in the Assembly. Three of its MLAs had been elected to the Lok Sabha.

The party fell short of four seats to bag a simple majority and had refused to form government in December, saying it did not have the numbers and will not resort to any "unfair means" to take the reins.

    Dear RSRB,

Well...How the minds of people will turn... Forget it.

Let me ask you a simple Question. When AAP and Congress were in their unholy formation process, what BJP was doing? Went to Holy place for Bajanas? :)

It was biggest fault from BJP for not taking initiation for formation of Govt in Delhi. Let them accept that first. And remember Taking everyone together, convincing them is one of the major Quality of Leadership. In fact one of your friend in Forum realised now, but the same guy was giving different statement, when BJP said that they are not forming Govt.

    Regards,
    Oliver

If BJP with 28 mls forms a government then we would know how much truth is there in Rajnath's words.

AAP is not congress, they could not buy AAP MLA's so they are tyrin gto buy the 6 congress MLA's

Of course BJP is a clean party and Modi(who never appointed a lokayuktha in Gujarath) is going to fight corruption.

Where is Anna Hazare now, when we need him the most when this horsetrading is going on, he has completely forgotten Lok Janpal.

False allegations by Kejri. BJP has moral authority to rule Delhi since it has won all 7 loksabha seats. Further, no MLAs want to contest election again. BJP in centre can guide their Delhi Govt rule efficiently.

BJP being single largest party (needed 34 to rule but got 31), was cheated by AAP & Congress by unholy alliance. But PSEUDOS kept quite...

The congress with just 8 seats started ruling Delhi through its B team (read AAP). The defeated CM of Delhi started ruling another state (read KERALA). PSEUDOS keep quite.
Just imagining how PSEUDOS would have acted, if it was BJP...:-)
