Pakistan condemns terrorist attacks in Afghanistan

Islamabad, July 17 (IANS): Pakistan Thursday condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Afghanistan, including the car bombing in Paktika province Wednesday that claimed 42 lives.

Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said no cause justifies such despicable acts especially in the holy Muslim month of Ramadan, Xinhua reported.

The comments came hours after heavily armed Taliban militants attacked Kabul international airport Thursday with hand grenades and automatic guns.

All the five attackers have been killed.

"We reiterate condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations," the spokesperson said at her weekly briefing in Islamabad.
