NSG commando killed in Gurgaon road accident


Gurgaon, July 17 (IANS): A National Security Guard (NSG) commando was killed Thursday in a road accident on the Gurgaon expressway, police here said.

Jaswant Singh, 27, who hailed from Rajpura in Jammu and Kashmir was killed near Jharsa Chowk flyover on Delhi-Gurgaon expressway.

"Jaswant Singh was returning to NSG base camp at Manesar after meeting relatives in Delhi when his bike was hit by an unknown vehicle," a police officer told IANS.

He was rushed to a hospital, where doctors pronounced him brought dead.

Jawant Singh, a non-commissioned officer of the Indian Army, was posted to the elite counter-terrorism force on deputation.

The body of the deceased was handed over to NSG officers after the post-mortem examination.
