Nine killed in two attacks in Pakistan


Islamabad, July 18 (IANS): At least nine people were killed and eight injured Friday in two separate attacks in Pakistan.

In the first attack, eight soldiers of Frontier Corps were killed and six injured when unknown gunmen stormed their check post in Jamrud area of Khyber Agency, Dawn online reported.

In the other attack, a policeman was killed and two were injured when a bomb hit their vehicle in Wazir Bagh area of Peshawar, the capital city Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

According to officials, the policemen were on their routine patrol in the city when they came under attack by a roadside bomb detonated through a remote-control device.
