Modi meets Aga Khan Foundation delegation


New Delhi, July 24 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi Thursday met a delegation from the Aga Khan Foundation which briefed him on various activities it was undertaking in the country.

"The delegation members briefed the prime minister on various development activities being undertaken by the foundation in India," said a statement.

AKF vice chairman Gulam Rahimtoola led the five-member delegation.

The foundation was established by the spiritual leader of the Ismaili community in 1967 and its mission is to develop and promote creative solutions to problems that impede social development, primarily in Asia and east Africa.
