Mumbai, July 26: Akshay Kumar’s ‘The Shaukeens’ is scheduled to release on November 7 this year. The movie also stars Lisa Haydon, Anupam Kher, Paresh Rawal and Annu Kapoor in pivotal roles.
It is the remake of 1982 comedy film ‘Shaukeen’, which had Mithun Chakraborty, Rati Agnihotri, Ashok Kumar, Utpal Dutt and K Hangal in the lead roles.
Akshay Kumar will be seen reprising Mithun Da’s role in the remake.
The story of the film is about how three old men woo Lisa Haydon. Kher took to twitter to share the news about his upcoming film.
"Happy to announce the release date of The Shaukeens. It is 7th November. Be ready for this fantasy ride," he tweeted.
‘The Shaukeens’ is directed by Abhishek Sharma, who had previously directed Ali Zafar starrer ‘Tere Bin Laden’.
