Bangalore, July 29: Puneeth Rajkumar has been offered to play the lead in Nagabharan's next directorial venture, which is based on a novel named 'Tumula'. The novel is written by Sudha Murthy, who is the wife of Infosys founder and IT giant Narayan Murthy.
Nagabharan is known for his art films in Sandalwood. He bought the rights for the script from Sudha Murthy and made certain changes to it with her permission. He met Puneeth's mother Parvathamma Rajkumar with the script. She was impressed with the script and has given green signal.
Puneeth has not yet agreed for the project. He wants the film to be commercially viable and wants his fans to like the film.
Puneeth is presently busy shooting for 'Ranavikrama'. He will be next seen in Suri's 'Dodmane Huduga' and Prashanth Neel's 'Ahwaana'. His upcoming film 'Power ***' with Trisha is scheduled to release on August 22.
