Mumbai, August 26: At the executive committee meeting of the Malad Kannada Association held recently here, Harish N Shetty was re-elected as president of the association for 2006-07.

Though he holds a lawyer’s degree, Harish Shetty is a successful hotelier. He has been instrumental in the successful working of this association.

Shankar D Poojary was appointed as the chief secretary for a tenure of 2 years. Also appointed were advocate Jagdeesh Hegde as vice-president, Prakash S Shetty as honorary treasurer, Shankar Shetty as honorary joint secretary and Anil Poojary as honorary joint treasurer.

Others appointed to the executive committee are Balakrishna Shetty as internal auditor, Sudhakar Shetty, Vishwanath Poojary, Janardhan Rai, Ashalata Kotian, Joseph Rodrigues, H B Devadiga, Santhosh Poojary, Harish Bhandary, Jagdish Shetty and Ratnakar Shetty.
