Fashion forecast 2014: Is white the new black?

London, Aug 9 (IANS): From crisp white shirts, little dresses to wide-leg pants - white seems to be dominating the celebrity red carpets this season.

With midi-dresses, crop tops and dramatic pants, known names like Megan Fox and Jessica Alba have been seen flaunting the white trend, reports huffingtonpost.com.

* Maggie Gyllenhaal in Derek Lam white dress: The dress is chic and figure-flattering, but the ruffled sleeves make it fashion-forward and modern. Gyllenhaal teamed it up with burgundy heels that added twist to the entire look.

* Megan Fox in Marc Jacobs's tiered dress: Megan Fox looks great in just about anything but the particular tiered dress showcased her toned legs and added panache to her entire look during the premiere of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."

* Hannah Tointon in Prabal Gurung in off-shoulder dress: The dress fitted the British soap opera star like a glove. Satin can be very unforgiving, but the look worked on Tointon's petite figure.

* Jessica Alba in Alice Olivia and Max Mara's wide-leg pant: In case you doubted the wide-leg pant trend, her look was a proof that it can look incredibly cool. Not only did Alba pair her trousers with an unbuttoned dress shirt, she also opted for a pair of platforms.
