DUBAI, Sep 22:  Jafferali could not handle the stress and pain after his best friend Santosh left for Dubai to hunt for a job.

He died of a heart attack in India the second day of Santhosh’s departure.

The friend’s death was hard enough for the 27-year-old Santhosh, which leading him to commit suicide. He was found hanging from the ceiling of his accommodation in Sharjah on Monday evening.

According to relatives, Santhosh who hails from Nieleshwaram in the Southern Indian state of Kerala, arrived in the UAE last Thursday on a visit visa.

“He was very sad to leave his best friend Jafferali. They were working together in a footwear shop for the last nine years. When Santhosh departed from Kerala the latter was in ultimate stress. On Saturday Jafferali died after a cardiac arrest,” said a relative.

“Santhosh was informed about the death by another friend in India. He insisted that he wanted to return to India to attend the funeral. But we told him not to go because he came all the way in search of money for a decent living for his family back home. He was very upset and was under tremendous stress," the relative added.

"When we returned from work we found him hanged in the room. We informed the police and they had taken the body to the Police morgue," he disclosed.

"We are waiting for the body to be repatriated after the completion of the legal proceedings. We are discussing with the family back home the repatriation arrangements," he said.

"He got married last year and his wife, Jayasree, is 9 month pregnant. We cannot understand why he did this extreme act," he lamented.

A couple from Kerala were found hanged  in their accommodation is Hor Al Anz area in Dubai last Saturday. The relatives received a suicide note left by Jaffer and Shemi in which they did not specify  the reason for committing suicide.
