Seoul, Sep 28: In an amazing victory, Indian tennis sensation Sania Mirza beat world number eight Martina Hingis in the second round of the ongoing Korea open in Seoul.
This is a win that will take Sania to unimaginable heights. This year in February, Sania lost to the Swiss miss in the first round of Dubai Open.
The two locked horns again in the semi final of the recently finished Sunfeast Open in Kolkata and Hingis beat Sania in straight sets, and eventually went on to win the title.
But this was a victory least expected after going down in the first set, the Indian fought back and finished the match 4-6, 6-0, 6-4.
This win is likely to improve Sania'a singles ranking as well. She of course went up from 70 to 59 after that semi-final appearance in Kolkata.
