Suva, Sep 21 (IANS): Fiji Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama, who achieved victory in the Sep 17 elections said that he will govern and treat everyone equally irrespective of their political leanings.
"I will look after all Fijians," he said while addressing people at the ANZ Stadium here Sunday, Fiji Live reported.
Fiji is home to a large Indian-origin population.
"I say to you, please come and let's all move forward together -- we must have an inclusive Fiji in which no one is left behind," Bainimarama said.
"I will be your prime minister too. Because I passionately believe in One Nation, One Fiji and that everyone has a place in it, whoever you are, wherever you come from and whoever you voted for," he added.
The FijiFirst party of Bainimarama that came to power in 2006 after a bloodless coup, received 60 percent of the votes in the elections.
