Pallavi Puri offers Paisley collection for festive season

New Delhi, Sep 24 (IANS): Drawing inspiration from the rich repertoire of Parsi culture and their traditional embroideries, designer Pallavi Puri presents "Paisley". She says the vibrant usage of technique, design and craftsmanship makes the festive collection a must have for every woman.

"With the fine floral embroideries and intricate motifs of 'Gara' embroidery, the finesse in technique, design and craftsmanship elevate each classic, elegant piece making it a signature, an heirloom to be preserved and passed on for generations," she said.

Each piece in the Jamawar range is a mix of intricate design, in palettes that range from deep shades of wine and aubergine to the delicate hues of creams and pastels.

The label's signature motif Paisley features subtly and prominently along with some of the other techniques infused through the collection like gota work and brocade, as well as some digital prints.

Some of the garments that are defined in the line include well-tailored suits, embroidered scarves, jackets and jumpsuits.

Puri, a Delhi-based designer, began her career by designing for some of India's renowned fashion labels. An alumna of the country's premier design institute - NIFT, New Delhi, she launched her label in 2008.
