Mangalore, Sep 28: A person who tried to molest a medical student on the road has been arrested. The incident took place in broad daylight near lady Goschen Hospital, near Hampankatta in the city.
The accused identified as Manjunatha, from Gadag, worked as a labourer in a fishing boat at old dock of Bunder.
The victim, a medical student was walking talking over her mobile. The accused followed the lady and started touching her inappropriately. The peole passing by heard the lady shouting for help and responded. They managed to catch hold of the culprit and gave him enough kicks before the police were called.
Bunder police are investigating after arresting the accused.
