New Delhi, Oct 10: The Delhi police will question South Africa batsman Herschelle Gibbs, who is set to arrive in New Delhi by the middle of this week, on "all aspects" of his role in the 2000 match-fixing case. 
 
"Gibbs, who is yet to face the investigators in the high-profile scandal, will be asked as to who had contacted him. What was the information sought and who all were involved in the entire match-fixing episode," police sources said in New Delhi on Monday.

Though the date of his questioning has not yet been fixed, senior police officials said they had prepared a detailed questionnaire and were awaiting an intimation from the star batsman as to when he would be available for questioning.

"We are ready. It is up to him when he can make himself available to us for questioning. So far we have not heard anything from him or his lawyers," a senior Crime Branch official said.

Gibbs, who is scheduled to arrive in New Delhi on October 12 for the ICC Champions Trophy with two of his lawyers, has already indicated that he will appear for questioning before the Delhi police.

He has skipped tours of India in the past fearing detention ever since the controversy broke out and Delhi police have been waiting to lay hands on him to complete their probe.

Gibbs and teammate Nicky Boje were named in the probe by the Delhi police who blew the lid on the scandal after tapping a phone conversation of the late South African skipper Hansie Cronje during his team's tour of India in 2000.
