Hema Malini launches cleanliness drive

Vrindavan, Nov 8 (IANS): BJP MP and former actor Hema Malini Friday launched a mass cleanliness campaign in this holy town in Uttar Pradesh.

The Bharatiya Janata Party leader also administered a pledge calling upon students and people to commit themselves to cleanliness.

She later went through the main markets urging shopkeepers and residents to ensure that their town remained clean.

At one point, Hema Malini picked up the broom to demonstrate how people should keep their surroundings tidy.

Along the Yamuna, students from the Bhakti Vedanta Gurukul along with Friends of Vrindavan group spent two hours to pick up trash from the river bank.

Nice of Hema Malini. Only for our info, I want to know, if she wore a Canjeevaram Saree and helped in the cleaning If yes, then don't do it, as all husbands will cry when their wives demand conjeevaram sarees to do this noble cause. God bless her.
