Mysore, Nov 25: NICE Managing Director Ashok Kheny today advised the Chief Minister Kumaraswamy to live in a hut till everyone in Karnataka gets a own hut.

He was speaking after inaugurating the two-day Aakar festival at National Institute of Engineering (NIE) here this morning.

"I am happy that the Chief Minister stays in huts during his village visits. Mahatma Gandhi remained half-naked with a vow that he would not wear shirt till every Indian gets clothes. Our Chief Minister also should take a vow that he would live in a hut till everyone in Karnataka gets a own hut," he observed.

Kheny said that politicians and bureaucrats had made life of a common man miserable. "We had seen earlier only children crying. Now the politicians and bureaucrats have forced even the grown-ups to cry," he added.

He regretted that the people in India had to give bribes even to pay tax as the fine for delay in paying tax was higher than the bribe.

Greater Bangalore

Kheny strongly opposed the idea of Greater Bangalore. "When you have no place for bathing for your family, why do you try to help others (outsiders)? First you take care of your family," he advised the Government.

NIE Secretary M. Sreepada Rao presided over the function. Meghana welcomed. In-charge Principal Dr. T. Jayaraju, BAI Co-ordinator Badrinath, Festival Co-ordinator Dr. Sarangapani and Dr. G. Ravi were present.
