Aligarh-based Hindu outfit announces re-conversions on Dec 25

Aligarh (UP), Dec 11 (PTI) : Amid a raging row over alleged forced reconversion in Agra, a Hindu organisation has announced its plan to "convert a large number of people" on December 25, which was welcomed by the local BJP MP who said people are within their rights to choose their religion.

"A number of people who had earlier left the fold of Hinduism will be reconverted at a grand ceremony to be held at the Maheshwari Inter College in the old city on Christmas," regional in-charge of the Hindu Jagaran Samiti Rajeshwar Singh told reporters last evening.

"This is not conversion but homecoming for those who had been misled and enticed to leave their original religion earlier," he added.

Singh claimed that a large number of such persons were expected to reconvert in several other districts of western Uttar Pradesh as well.

Rajeshwar Singh's announcement yesterday was welcomed by the BJP MP from Aligarh, Satish Gautam.

"If people are ready to embrace Hinduism on their own accord and in a peaceful manner, then they are fully within their rights to exercise their choice," Gautam said.

Meanwhile, leaders of non-BJP political parties here have expressed grave concern over
the announcement.

"This is not a question of conversion but it is a deliberate move by a political party to polarise society and divide it for political gain. It is a part of the well planned conspiracy. All peace-loving citizens of this city should beware of the designs of the BJP," RLD MLA Dalvir Singh said.

Congress spokesman Vivek Bansal said, "The issue is not about conversion or re-conversion. It is a move aimed to aggressively promote religious polarisation and the state government should ensure that peace is not breached.

"Religion is a private matter and when political parties get actively associated in such matters, it can only leads to trouble," he said.

The issue of conversion of some Muslims in Agra rocked the Parliament for the second day today with opposition members creating uproar and demanding immediate discussion on the matter, which they said could have grave consequences like causing riots.

About 100 people, mostly Muslim slum dwellers, were re-converted and "brought back" to the Hindu fold through a ritual carried out by Hindu organisation Dharma Jagran Manch.
The police in Agra registered a case against the outfit and its UP convener Nand Kishore on late Tuesday night and launched investigations into the incident.

Most people who taste beef once, will never let go of a chance to relish a beef meal. So here is my question: what happens to these new converts if they continue eating beef even after conversion? Who will monitor? Bajrang dal needs to ask for more money from RSS to monitor that these new converts do not slyly buy beef biryani from muslim restaurant, when going to main market to buy vegetables..

RSS is really worried about conversion....In country thousands of people chooses Buddhism or Christianity or Islam...some to escape discrimination other by finding true path...All of it happens by free will...RSS has been long objecting to it....I ask to RSS if your faith is strong no one will leave your faith dont be upset by the fact but they will accept but now hindu religion is clubbed with hindutva so people(non hindus) will move away from where there are BD goons
Since you cant counter it by all your hollow propaganda all these years...You want anti conversion law...which is strictly unconstitutional...
You and your political wing BJP has been long propagating for it...but achieving it is not so easy...
Now arrange a fake conversion ceremony...threaten poor people ..(.By threatening no one will convert)..Then some people will oppose this forced conversion...Now claim anti conversion law is the need of the day....Great going BJP....
Where is your development....or is it just development of nagpurite ideas....
"Hindutva ki saath hindutvon ki vikaas"
This should have been your slogan....
Since development is not taking place as per your tall claims use your RSS and BD to divert from it and let people discuss on hindutva 356 days...Great strategy no one can play this cat and mouse game...
Anyhow all these Issues are making my faith in my faith much more stronger...

a conversion guy (be it missionary or a mulla or a bajarangi is just that).. look at nigerians girls converted by boko haram or Yazidi women forcibly converted by ISIS!! ... that is just a number game for them and they r erasing others by making all theirs! that is ONE UPMANSHIP! caste difference, class difference, poverty is all nonsensical justification one can give!

media never questioned, why muslims r living in such poverty and why r they not given rationa card or BPL card!
media never questioned why such phamplets are spread.. "5 lakh for brahmin girls, 2 lakh for dalit girl" when it was widely in circulation!

You tell me a poor tribal, has time and inclination to do a comparative study on religions and curse religion for his state? SOMEBODY COLORS HIS MIND, while his single aim is to win the rozi roti! missionaries go there and convert them and say we will give this and that! .. my village so many got converted ..one chap a tailor was paid 10000/- by some SATYAVEDA(bible organisation)! IT IS ALL WRONG!..

and if someone is genuinely willing to go for other religion (like AR Rehman), he can go knock the door of court, or media and tell them that it is as per his wish he is getting converted! freedom of religion is there! hindus dont accept conversions generally! and SC/STs dont want to leave the benefits they get from govt of being just that! BEing a brahmin is a CURSE in india! he has to study hard.. get highest mark, take loan to pay astronomical fee, has to compete everywhere to land a decent job! .. being a muslim/christian, your relatives and friends will take you to Dubai atleast! a hindu is never helped by neither govt or friends, unless he is really good in the market!

As the winter session of Parliament is in progress, the BJP wanted to divert from much hyped pole promises.

Despite the few numbers and no opposition, the party has faced the much wrath of them on key issues. The Congress release of U-turn book on much talked 25 points ed from BJP Own manifesto has no answers from the majority ruling party.

As voters who have elected BJP in much hope, deprived from Black money to good governance.

While Sadhvi,Sushma....expressing the 'Man ki bath 'from their fanatic hearts, our NRI PM is busy in His foreign trips have largely encompassed enthralling speeches and meeting high level dignitaries as well as famous celebrities in those countries, thereby attracting huge media attention. While in the parliament he remains 'Maun Modi '.

"Sab ka sat, Sab ka vikas ' slogan is just turning it to be " Ration card ke Na,vote bank ka vikas"

The Leader of an Outfit based on Potato worship started driving People Belonging to Tomato Religion to start worshiping the God Of Potatoes, The Tomato Worshippers agreed since they would get a Lifetime supply of Potatoes for the same, When they reached home after the conversion ceremony, The Tomato Worshippers Cooked their Potatoes and continued to worship the Tomato.

Does one really need to Convert to Believe, Just trust in God, and Live and Let live. God does not like Forced Converts and neither these people are true believers.... I'm sure they won't stop eating Beef, I'm sure they will continue the Namaz, These people are poor and need help.
The same way Tribals who converted, do you think they really look at Christ as Savior with their whole Heart? Similarly people who converted to Islam, under force, Really practice in front of everyone just to show they are practicing, Not with real love and Devotion.

Live a Good life, Treat your fellow man with Respect, and Love.

conversion on individual capacity is a choice and right of any citizen of this country. One is free to convert. But mass conversion involving religious people or political parties is a matter of concern. It speaks less about true faith.i do not support such conversion to Hinduism. However i am just amused at some of the daiji commenters who were all supporting mass conversion like tribal people a few years ago and now crying foul now!!

I will reveal an important information for the knowledge of general public. In Mangalore based Christians there are surnames like Kamath,Prabhu,Shenoy just like GSB Hindu people .They and GSB konkani people are thought to be belonging to the same cast before got converted into Chistianity under the Portuguese rule in Goa.
Recently some of these Christians wanted to come back to GSB Community .Do you think their Choice was incorrect ? Dont they have any right to choose the religion they want to embrace .I heard Unfortunately Some GSB people opposed this move which I personally didn't like .According to me if they want to come back to Christianity they should be allowed .If I am allowed to Pray Namaz in a Mosque I will be happy to do that with full faith .I have already attended Many Mass programmes in Church ,I have kneel ed in front of Jesus Christ .I pray Jesus the same way I pray Lord Krishna .In fact one of my close Christian friend takes me to Mahim Church to Pray on his behalf as he believes Jesus Christ listens more to me than he being Christian and one of my such prayer had done miracle for him

If you call it as service, it should not have coasted them their religion. Service is done without any expectation of return.

If it not forced conversion ? The people objecting now, why you didn’t raise your voice then ? Many of you used to “argue saying India is Democratic country, People have right to choose the religion of their choice”.

    exactly, Ronald!!

but tell this to Evangelist Sudhir Mundikotha, hari rao, rambabu., franklin joshua, anita fuentes, mike francen and all the rest!

OR A THOUSAND YEARS Muslim rulers of India converted lakhs of Hindus to Islam. Aurangzeb had said at Sri Nagar 'i will convert the last Hindu of Kashmir' and he ensured it was done.
They used torture to fulfil their nefarious design
And missionaries converted thousands of Hindus in 200 years of their rule.
    The used allurement.
Historians mentioned this matter-of-factly, did not say a word of criticism.
    Media overlooked.

if they don't know already what a senior Church functionary of America of the rank on an Archbishop had said after listening to the speech of Swami Vivekananda at the parliament of religions at Chicago in 1893.
He said 'IT IS FOOLISH TO SEND MISSIONARIES TO A COUNTRY WHICH HA S A BOOK LIKE THE GITA'. but still there are people who will do conversion of the tribals!
