Mangalore, Dec 2:
The Annual Day of the St Aloysius High School was celebrated with great pomp on Friday December 1 at the St Aloysius High School campus.
 
Founder Member of the Aloysian Alumni association (APNAA)of North America, Ramachandra Rao was the chief guest. Rector of the St Aloysius Institutions Fr Francis Serrao presided over the function.

Speaking on the occasion, Ramachandra Rao recalled his memories as a member of the Social Service League of the College. He stressed that education is beyond harping at books. Social service activities he said are equally important. Exemplifying his view, he said that St Aloysius of Gonzaga, spent his entire time and energy serving the needy and laid down his life doing the same.

He urged the students to derive inspiration from the Patron of the institution and lead a life for others.

Addressing the gathering Fr Francis Serrao mentioned that St Aloysius High School has been getting enviable academic results and congratulated the staff and students for their effort.

Headmaster of St Aloysius High School Fr Gilbert Saldanha presented the annual report. Prizes were distributed among the students who won laurels in various fields. Cultural programmes followed the formal function.

Assistant Headmaster Joseph D'Souza, Vice President of the PTA Sathish Pai, School Pupil Leader of the School Jack Pinto were the others present on the occasion.
