Washington, Dec 18 (IANS): Military forces of the US and partner-nations continued to attack Islamic State (IS) targets in Syria and Iraq over the past three days, a US defence department statement said.

An additional 45 strikes in Iraq were conducted in support of the Peshmerga and Iraqi security forces, destroying approximately 50 targets, including bulldozers, vehicles, checkpoints, fighting positions and equipments.

The destruction of IS targets in Syria and Iraq further limits the terrorist group's ability to project terror and conduct operations.

Coalition nations conducting airstrikes in Iraq include the US, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, the Netherlands and Britain.

Coalition Nations conducting airstrikes in Syria include the United States, Bahrain, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.
