Mangalore, Dec 7: Yenopoya Abdullah Kunhi, chairman, Islamic Academy of Education, was honoured with the ‘Outstanding Manager Award’ instituted by the Mangalore Management Association at a glittering function held at Hotel Taj Manjarun here on Wednesday December 6.

Speaking on the occasion, Kunhi expressed his happiness over receiving the award and said that the award will encourage him to strive harder so as to justify the honour conferred on him.

Prof Dr M Abdul Rahman, former vice-chancellor, Kannur and Calicut Universities delivered the felicitation address.

Retired major general G K Nischal, director general, AIMA, New Delhi gave a presentation on India and its future in the economic sector and lauded Kunhi for setting an example to the youth.

Dr K Devraj, Association president, M Shekhar Poojary, vice president, Srinivas V Kudva, former president, T G Shenoy, secretary and R Lohidas, joint secretary were present.
