Mangalore Dec 8: The students and faculty of science department of St Aloysius College here will be organizing a state-level inter-collegiate science fest ‘Imprints 06’ on Monday December 11 and Tuesday December 12.  The theme of the fest is ‘Visions Infinite.’

Student coordinator Colin Noronha speaking at a press conference at the Press Club here said that the fest includes BCA students for the first time this year and 20 colleges from the district and surrounding places like Hassan, Kodagu are also  are likely to participate in the fest.

The two-day event has 10 events such as  Spectra(Exhibition), Virtuoso (Imprints Personality), Conclave (Technical Paper Presentations), Quagmire (Quiz), Rust to Rubies (Wealth out of Waste), Hack with Knack (Debugging, decoding and web designing), X- cogitate (Marketing the product), Concoction (Kahani mein twist), 9 Chicane (Gaming) and Labyrinth (puzzle buzz and treasure hunt).

President of NITTE education trust N Vinaya Hegde will be the chief guest, while principal of St Aloysius College Dr Eugene Lobo S J will inaugurate the fest.  Rector of St Aloysius Institutions Fr Francis Serrao S J will preside over the function.

Vice-principal of St Aloysius College Prof Eric Patrao, botany lecturer Dr Naga Lakashmamma, chemistry lecturer Dr Richard Gonsalves, staff coordinator Prof Precilla D’Silva were present at the press meet.
