Mangaluru, Jan 9: In an instance which brings embarrassment to the system,the accused in the Deralakatte forced sex case, threatened the police inspector who was accompanying them to the court proceeding on Friday, January 9.

The accused in the infamous Deralkatte forced sex case of December 2013, wherein two students were allegedly kidnapped, forced into having sex, videographed and blackmailed, were being taken to the court for judicial proceedings. But on the way they allegedly refused to attend the court proceedings and created confusion environment in the court premises.
It is also learnt from reliable sources that when police inspector, who was in-charge, asked them to attend the judicial proceedings, two out of eight accused threatened the police inspector saying "We will deal with you as soon as we come out."
The accused also allegedly used abusive language with the police personnel who were on duty.
The allegedly violent and rowdy attitude of the accused created confusion in the court premises. Later additional police personnel were deployed to beef up the security in the court premises.
