Mangaluru, Jan 14: 'Chaali Polilu' released under the banner of Jayakirana Films, has completed 75 days. The film which was produced by Prakash Pandeshwar is running successfully in 5 theatres. This is a new record in Tulu Film Industry.
The film has been appreciated as the best movie till date in Tulu. It was also the first Tulu movie to complete 50 days by running succesfully in 5 theatres, now by completing 75 days it has reached another milestone of success.
It is running successfully from August 21,2014 in theatres namely Jyoti, PVR, Big Cinemas(Mangaluru), Nakshatra(B.C Road) and Kalpana(Udupi). The movie has also created another record by running successfully at 3 theatres in Mangaluru.
It has earned 1.75 crores till date and has been appreciated by all sectors of the society. The movie has grabbed the attention of students as well as women and has been appreciated by the critics.
All the theatres were running housefull during Christmas season. The reason behind this was people who had visited Mangalore on holidays chose this as the first option for entertainment. Jyoti Theatre(Mangalore) has been giving special discounts to students.
After running successfully for 4 weeks at Bengaluru, its running houseful every Sunday at Mumbai. It is expected to hit theatres shortly at Delhi as well as abroad.
Producer Prakash Pandeshwar has thanked all the Tulu viewers for their overwelming resposnse thus helping in creating a record. The success of the movie has created a new image for the artists of the movie Devdas Kapikad, Naveen D Padil, Bojaraja Vamanjoor, Aravind Bolar, Sundara Rai Mandara, Chetan Rai, Divyashree, Sarojini Shetty, Lakshman Kumar Mallur, Prasanna Shetty Byloor, Umesh Mijar, Ragavendra Rai and many others.
Supporting actors Umanaatha A. Kotian, Girish Shetty Permude, Vitoba Bhandarkar, Karnoor Mohan Rai have come to limelight due to this movie. People are appreciating the first time actors as well and recognising them at diffrent events and appreciating their work. Veerendra Shetty Kavoor, has written story, screenplay, dialogues and V Manohar has given songs, Manikaanth Kadri has done rerecording.
The film is expected to reach 100 days soon and create another milestone.
