Kadri temple to get silver cover from Jogi Samaj

Mangaluru, Jan 14: Famous Kadri temple will get silver cover from Jogi samaj on January 17.

This was revealed at a press meet held at press club on Wednesday.

The idols placed outside the garbagudi of Kadri Manjunatha temple namely Mathsendra and Gorakshanatha have already been given silver cover by the personal contribution made by Dr Gopalanatha. Chowranginatha idol is to get silver covering under the supervision of Sadguru Shree Chowranginatha Rajatha Kavacha nirmana seva samithi.

Siver covering work has already been done by G.R.T. Jewelers from Chennai at a cost of Rs.10 Lacs. It will be offered to Kadri Manjunatha temple after a grand procession on January 17 at 4 pm under the spiritual leadership of Jogi math peetadipathi Raja Shree Sandyanathag.

The procession will start from Jogi math and will proceed to Kadri temple.

On January 18 at 8.30 am, installation of the idol cover will be done by the temple priest Vittaldas.

Dr Kadri Gopalnath, Dr Keshavnath, Suresh Jogi, Kiran Kumar Jogi, Padmanabha and Ramachandra were present at the press meet.
