Modi greets Karnataka on Makar Sankranti


New Delhi, Jan 15 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi Thursday greeted the people of Karnataka on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, saying the festival may bring "abundant happiness and prosperity in everyone's lives".

"Sankranti greetings to my sisters and brothers of Karnataka. May this auspicious day bring abundant happiness and prosperity in everyone's lives," he said in a statement.

    Today I was surprised when my email has a PM GREETINGS on the occa.sion od Makar Sankranthi and Pongal festival.A very common citizen like me getting mesage from PMs office has made me proud.I am grateful to your Dear Narendra Modiji and wish you and all at PMs office a very happy Makara Sankranthi and Pongal....May almighty God bless to serve the people across caste creed and color rich or poor of this great Nation......
