Mangalore, Dec 29: The general council meeting of Mangalore City Corporation has become famous in the city are a great source of entertainment. Hurling accusations have become an old fashioned, the novel acts include performing yoga and some paper ball sports.

Advancing in this art, the peoples' representatives on Friday, December 29 resorted to throwing the agenda copies and also tearing them into bits and littering the council hall.

The BJP corporators and the five nominated corporators opposed the manner in which the issues stated in the agenda were discussed. While the ruling party corporators pressurized the Mayor to continue with the days agenda, the opposition party corporators and the nominated demanded that the topics stated in the previous meeting held on November 29 be cleared first.

The argument continued which led to a chaos in the hall. The nominated lot was irked by the comment passed by congress corporator Farooq, who branded them as 'Back Door Entrants'

The BJP and the nominated entered the well of the house and the chaos intensified. The Mayor who instructed the chief whip to read the items on the agenda mechanically passed the 'approved' verdict which agitated the BJP corporators. They went on a rampage snatching the agenda copies from the others and even from the hands of the chief whip and tearing it into pieces.

With this scene, the meeting came to an end.
