Mangalore, Dec 31: Mulki Rafiq the accused in the murder of Sukhanand Shetty and also in other cases has been ordered 5 days of police custody in order to facilitate further interrogation.

Rafiq and his wife Fatima Zohra were nabbed in Tamil Naadu and were produced before the JMFC II court Magistrate here in the city.
After detailed interrogation of Rafiq, he was taken to Kunigal town of Tumkur district by the investigating officer T R Jagannath for the recovery of certain incriminating articles related to the murder of Sukhananda Shetty.
There from a house in Bommanalli Palya on the outskirts of Kunigal town where Rafiq had taken shelter for almost a year after the murder of Polali Anantu, two swords and two mobile phones were recovered by the police.
Meanwhile Fatima who was produced before the JMFC II Court on Saturday has been remanded for judicial custody upto Jan 11, 2007.
