Bengaluru, Feb 9: The final verdict on the appeal made by Sri Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swamiji of Sri Ramachandrapur Math will come today.

The division bench comprising justice Ananda Byarreddy and justice N Ananda who heard the appeal had reserved the judgment to Monday February 9. The judgment will be delivered at 2.30 pm.

The appeal was made by the seer on January 30.

The judgment will decide the future of the case in which the seer has been facing the charges of rape and abetment of suicide.

The seer had applied to the High Court earlier saying that the accusations by the Rama Katha artist were baseless and were intended at tarnishing his image. He had said that there was a bigger conspiracy to defame him by accusing him of rape and other offences.

The judge who had heard the case had dismissed the case on October 9. The seer had made an appeal questioning this judgement on which the verdict is expected today.
