Udupi, Jan 12: I am proud to have done by schooling in the Kannada medium, said Dr Albert D’Souza, Bishop of Luknow. He was speaking after inaugurating the new high school building of the school here in Moodubelle on Thursday morning.

 

The chief guest of the function industrialist from Mumbai John Rebello who is an alumnus of the high school thanked the school for the training imparted which enabled him to achieve success in life.

Principal of the college introduced John Rebello the major donor who also collected a sum of Rs 5 lac for the school.

The function was presided over by the Moodubelle parish priest Fr Valerian D’Souza. Principal Fr Paul Sequeira welcomed the gathering.

The school also received a photocopy machine from Karnataka bank for which P R S Holla of the Bank was instrumental. Syndicate bank gifted chairs to the college for which K Devanada Upadyaya of the bank as instrumental.

Assistant priest Fr Francis Crasta, Old students’ Association president Devadas Hebbar, PTA president Robert Menezes, Church vice-president Henry Fernandes, panchayat president K Saraswati, Udupi Zilla Panchayat member Gerald, student leaders Akilesh and Maxin were present on the occasion.
