January 14, 2007
Dear readers:
Another year has passed in association with you, our estimeed readers, sponsors, advertisers, contributors and our worldwide team. Evey year brings us cheer, and when every time we look back, we have satisfaction over our achievements and but, at the same time, we are reminded of the several challenges lying ahead.
As we enter our 7th year of operation, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have been part of our mission. Without mentioning a single name, I would salute all those supporters who have been with us. Indeed, friends, you are our inspiration and hope for the future.
We are happy that we have not only involved in the webcast of news and information, but we have been actively involved in several socially beneficial projects in the year 2006. Daijiworld played a key role as media in internationalization of Mangalore airport and also contributed in the first-ever international flight landing in mangalore.
Apart from this, today we are more delighted to share the happiness of caring for many needy families, who have been saved by the generous contribution of our readers. We are proud that more than a dozen families have survived by virtue of the kind help from our readers, and daijiworld had taken the lead in this mission.
We are going ahead with a positive approach. We have introduced the Internet TV concept in Mangalore. Our vision has been appreciated the world over and more of such efforts are being initiated in and around Mangalore and worldwide. Though our progress is slow, our vision is broader and plans are much higher. In the coming days you will see a lot of professional touch in our ambitious Internet TV project. We are delighted to see the quantum of initial response to our webcast. Internet viewers have highly appreciated our concept and their feedback is helping us in a big way to improved format and quality of our project.
Daijiworld Turns into Daijiworld Media Private Ltd
As daijiworld grows, I have felt a strong need for expanding my mission. In the past six years, though the entire supporting team was with me through thick and thin, I thought I needed to go to higher levels with the help of other potential, like-minded investors. And my call has been responded well. And the result is that daijiworld will turn into a private limited company in the coming days. I will be holding the majority interest in the company and there will not be any changes in the editorial policy. Investors have shown keen interest in expanding our project and mission. Our new plans will be made known in the next couple of weeks. With these developments, we are sure, daijiworld wil grow much stronger.
Repeated thanks
Dear reader, once again, from the depth of my heart, I thank you for all the support and encouragement. I request you to keep supporting us in a similar way in the future too.
With your blessings and patronage,I hope my team and I will be able to take daijiworld into newer horizons.
Yours sincerly
Walter Nandalike
Editor-in-chief
