Bangalore, Jan 15: The annual feast of Infant Jesus Shrine at Viveknagar near here was held with pomp on Sunday January 14.

Infant Jesus Shrine at Viveknagar has been considered as the place of miracles.  Devotees throng in big number here everyday.  But on the feast day it is just not possible to control the gathering as people of all walks of life irrespective of religion, caste, creed, age, sex throng to this place of miracles to receive the blessings of Infant Jesus.

On Sunday January 14 festal celebrations began with Eucharistic celebrations from 7 am.  Holy Eucharist was offered in different languages such as Kannada, English, Tamil, Malayalam etc throughout the day.

This year state governor T N Chaturvedi was the chief guest.  Arch Bishop Bernard Moras too was present on the occasion.  Former parish priest of Viveknagar Shrine Fr Stany Veigas too graced the festal occasion.  Assistant parish priest Fr Patrick compered while parish priest Fr Martin Kumar welcomed.

The traditional Car Grand Procession was held at 7 pm.  Arch Bishop Bernard Moras blessed the procession.  Thereafter a procession was taken out in the surrounding area.  Thousands of devotees took part in this para-liturgical celebration.
