Sullia, Jan 16: In a mysterious circumstance, a teacher who had gone missing from last few days was found dead in a pond at Mandekolu near here on Monday January 15.

Koosappa Gowda (52), son of Ramanna Gowda of Mandekolu was a head teacher in the Mandekolu higher primary school.  However, owing to excessive addiction to alcohol he was not punctual to his duty.  For the last couple of years, he used to be mostly out from the school.

He had gone missing from Thursday January 11 from his house.  Despite a lot of efforts to trace him, he was not found.  However, his body was found in the pond of one Lingappa Gowda near Vishnumurthy Temple at Mandekolu on Monday.

The Sullia police have registered a case in this regard.
