Mangalore, Jan 17: A treasure hunt will be organised as part of ‘Physio Week-07,’ the fourth all-India Physiotherapy students’ conference on Thursday January 18, said convener U T Ifthikar Ali while addressing a press meet here on Tuesday January 16.

Over a 100 physiotherapy students riding on bikes will participate in the hunt which will be flagged off from Shree Devi College of Physiotherapy by superintendent of police B Dayanand. Shree Devi Education Trust chairman A Sadanand Shety will preside.

The participants will search the nook and corner of the city for clues and try to find the treasure in three hours.

As part of the Physio Week, a blood donation camp will be organised on Friday January 19 at Wenlock Hospital here. The camp will be inaugurated by district surgeon Dr Prabhudev.

A pre-conference concurrent session will be held at Dr M V Shetty College on Sunday January 21 which will be inaugurated by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) registrar Dr Vasantha Kumar. Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust founder Dr M Ramgopal Shetyy will preside, Ali said.

Over 2,000 physiotherapy students delegates from across the country will attend the conference which will be held on Monday January 22. The highlight of the conference will be the presence of actor Sunil Shetty who will hand over Mrs U T Naseema Fareed Memorial Gold Medal to PG students.

Minister of fisheries and district in-charge minister B Nagaraj Shetty will inaugurate the conference while MAHE pro-chancellor Dr H S Ballal will preside.

The keynote address will be delivered by Alva’s Education Foundation founder president Dr M Mohan Alva.
