Vittal, Jan 21: An attempt to murder was made by a gang of miscreants who attacked an artiste in front of his friend’s house. The incident was reported on Saturday.
On Friday night, artiste Kumar Acharya (28) of Vittal Kasaba Village had visited his friend’s house, when a group of miscreants who were drunk called him outside the house and beat him black and blue.
Alleging that he was involved in immoral relationship, the group of four persons assaulted him and later fled from the place.
According to Acharya, he was attacked by Military Dayanand, Ravish, Ranjith and Dhanajaya Shettigar.
