Udupi, Jan 23: After much deliberation a team of 200 Nagarjuna antagonists set out on a study tour to Simhadri Thermal Plant at Vishakhpatnam on Monday January 22 night.

However, the study tour still had the last-minute hic-up as some of the members said that they would go only to Dahanu and not to Simhadri.  However, the district administration which has organized the tour along with the state government managed to convince the members to go to Simhadri.  Finally it was decided that there will be a tour to Dahanu too after the Simhadri tour.

But some of the members were still adamant on their view.  Despite state minister Nagaraj Shetty's request to go to Simhadri, the members of Nagarjuna Protest Committee said that it was wrong to send them to Simhadri when the initial decision was to go to Dahanu.  Later Committee president Pramod Madhwaraj said that the government had actually asked them to go to Simhadri but owing to their demand it had agreed for a tour of Dahanu.  "But once again the state government has asked us to go to Simhadri.  If we are not satisfied with this, we would then go to Dahanu."

This did not satisfy the members completely and soon there were some serious complaints about the lop-sided decisions taken by the leaders of the committee.

The government has organized 5 KSRTC Iravat buses (AC) for the study tour.  A total of 200 person have gone on the study tour.
