Mangalore, Jan 24: In a major decision Regional Transport Authority (RTA) has now issued an order that men should not board  bus using the front door.  Just as first 4 seats are reserved for women in buses, the front door too has been reserved for boarding and alighting of women passengers.

The RTA has ordered the men to use only the rear door to get in and out of bus.  The bus staff, that is, conductor, cleaner or the driver has been given charge to assure that this goes on smoothly.

The decision has been taken after several organizations including some of the leading organizations of women had appealed the RTA to bring this rule in order to curb sexual assaults, advancement done by a certain persons in the buses.  Men have been advised not to board or alight using the front door even though there is rush at the back.
