Mangalore, Jan 24: Sairam Institute of Commerce Education at Kavoor will celebrate its silver jubilee on Tuesday January 30.  To make this day a memorable one, the institute is planning to honour all those students who brought laurels to the school by winning ranks.  The institute will also felicitate owners/principals of all commerce institutes of the district.

The institute will also confer the first-ever Sairam Awards to three distinct persons who have scaled great heights in their chosen profession.  Noted Yoga exponent Devdas B Shettigar Moodbidri, typing, tailoring and knitting teacher Mamata Raviraj and musician Kasturi will be conferred with the prestigious Sairam Awards.

S Ganesh Rao, president, Karavali Group of Colleges will inaugurate the silver jubilee celebrations on January 30 while S Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, president of Dakshina Kannada chapter of Kannada Sahitya Parishat will preside over.  Former MLA of Suratkal Kumbale Sundar Rao will release souvenir of the institute.  Suratkal MLA Krishna J Palemar will be the chief guest on the occasion.
