Mangalore, Jan 25: The state-level seminar and workshop on ‘MEMS Design and Fabrication Promises and Challenges in India’ organized by St Joseph’s Engineering College (SJEC) was inaugurated at the college premises recently.
NITK, Suratkal director Dr Sandeep Sanchetti inaugurated the seminar while SJEC director Fr Henry Mascarenhas presided.
The guest of honour was National Design Research Forum former chairman Lt Gen Dr V J Sundaram, PVSM.
Several professors and experts will give presentations during the course of the seminar.
Sebastian Cases from Tanner Soft MEMS France and others will conduct workshop sessions in the afternoons throughout the course of the seminar.
Among those present were BEL, Bangalore additional general manager Dr K Natarajan, Mechanical Engineering department head Thirumaleshwar Bhat, SJEC principal R K Yaji and convener Prof Dayanand Shetty.
