Mangalore, Jan 25: BJP Yuva Morcha in-charge Franklin Monteiro has said that about 5000 Christians will support the forthcoming Hindu Samajotsava.
Speaking at a press meet here on Thursday January 25, he said that Christians will show their support by at least attending the programme and will strive to make the event a movement of harmony.
He entreated the members of minority communities to not let themselves be led by rumours and said that several people are trying to create a fear among the minority communities for their own benefit regarding the event. He called for unison between people from different religions.
Prior to the press meet, there was another new conference by social worker Anwar Manipady wherein he appealed to the members of the public to shed away feelings of hatred and restore harmony.
