Puttur, Jan 26: Vinod Shettigar, a notorious criminal and accomplice of Gulf-based underworld don has been arrested by DCIB police. He has now been handed over to rural police for investigation.
Vinod is wanted in one murder and three murder attempt cases. He was arrested after his alleged involvement in Kavu Abdul Aziz murder attempt case. As reported earlier two other underworld criminals and supari killers Rajendra alias Nagesh and Sandeep were arrested earlier. During the investigation they had spilt beans and informed the police about the conspiracy to kill Kavu Abdul Aziz as per the directions given by a Gulf-based underworld don.
The two supari killers had also informed police about the involvement of Vinod Shettigar in the case. Based on the information elicited from them, the DCIB police arrested him and handed over to Puttur rural police for further investigation.
