Bangalore, Jan 26: The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is famous for its corruption and the declared wealth of officials is a sufficient indicator for it.

Though the officials mostly claim that the wealth they have, has been gifted to them and their wives, the multi-million assets belie their need to work for few thousands at the civic body.

While BBMP sources said that the top IAS officials held benami property in Singapore and other countries, the assistant executive engineers (AEE) have properties in and around Bangalore. These are some assets of a few AEEs, whose monthly salary is Rs 6,000 - Rs 10,000.

Jogi Siddegowda: Two acres in Kanakapura - inherited. Three houses in City; 15 X 42, 8 square building at Vijayanagara. 23.6 X 35.6, 10 sq at West of Chord Road and wife owns 30 X 40, 10 sq building in KHB Colony.

B T Mohan Krishna: Owned two 2400 sft sites in Ittamadu and Basaveshwarnagar while wife owns four similar sites; two in Sunkadakatte, two in Basaveshwarnagar. Sold one of them.

Tanveer Ahmed: 5.5 acres of farm in Mysore, of which 2 acres in wife’s name - from savings and from contribution from father-in-law. Wife also owns a 3-storey house in Govindarajnagar another in Vijayanagar - purchased out of streedhana.

A 40 X 60 site in Kengeri was bought from salary savings. And mother bought two sites out of her savings one on Magadi Road (Rs 50 lakh) and another in Yeshwantpur.

A B Dodaiah: A building on 30 X 40 site in BSK II stage. From agricultural income from land given by father-in-law.

H T Mohan Das: Two buildings each on 60 X 40 plots on WoC Road. Bought last year jointly with wife. As member of HUF, he owns about 110 acres of farm land in Mandya apart from a house in Mandya and another in Basaveshwarnagar.

He just has about Rs 16 lakh in hand.

B R Mudduraju: Four acres of ancestral farm land in Ramanagaram. Bought four sites; 25 X 40 in Vaddarapalya, 1,182 sft in Yeshwantpur, 33 X 40 in Kempe Gowda Nagar and 60 X 40 at Kathriguppe. Received 1.05 kg of gold and 5.25 kg silver in gifts.

A G Ranganath: Inherited 5 acres of irrigated land, wife owns 4 acres in Magadi - gift from mother. Wife owns a house near Magadi and Ranganath owns one 49 X 40 site in Bangalore and another 30 X 40 site.

K G Gopalaiah: Two acres of farmland in Tumkur and wife was gifted a house in Cholanayakanahalli and the officer bought a 30 X 40 site in BTM Layout.

Richest of all: A B Mandanna, OSD to Commissioner is perhaps the richest of them all.

Under Hindu Undivided Family (HUF) owns 5.87 acres of coffee plantations in Madikeri apart from 18.44 acres farms. Wife owns house on 30 X 50 site in Mahalakshmipuram while Mandanna owns one 40 X 60 site and another 30 X 45 site in Bangalore North. Salary Rs 18,784 pm.
