Mangalore, Jan 29: A two-day state level inter-collegiate commerce and management fest ‘Magnum 2007’ will be organised by the department of Post-Graduate Studies and Research in Commerce, Mangalore University on Friday February 2 and Saturday February 3.
A press release stated that the event will be held under the aegis of Commerce Association and Knowledge Circle at the University premises. The fest will consist of six mega events designed to provide hands-on experience in effectively handling competition pressures.
Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Capt John Prasad Menezes will inaugurate the event. The inaugural ceremony will be presided over by University vice-chancellor Prof K M Kaveriappa.
As many as 16 colleges from across the state are expected to participate, the release stated.
There will also be cultural events the highlight of which will be a dance performance by state award winner Kshitija Shetty.
The valedictory address will be delivered by Vijaya Bank regional manager K J Hegde. Director of Students Welfare Prof K K Achary will preside over the programme while Arts department dean Prof B Surendra will be the guest of honour, the release stated.
